California CPR was founded independently in 2016 by Denisse J. BSN, PHN. A registered nurse with a background in cardiology and geriatrics and with over 11 years of healthcare experience. Since then, we have trained numerous individuals and businesses in life-saving techniques. We service San Diego and South Bay area.
At California CPR, we believe that hands-on training is the best way to learn CPR. That's why our classes are led by experienced instructors who provide personalized instruction and feedback to each student. If you are a business, organization or healthcare facility, we can tailor the class to your business needs.
Each course is in accordance with the 2020 American Heart Association guidelines, which means that our classes meet the highest standards of CPR training. Our certifications are recognized by employers, schools, and healthcare organizations across the country and worldwide.

Although not required, but If you plan on taking notes, bring a pen and notebook as it may help for the exam. Make sure to bring comfortable clothing as we will practice on manikins, closed toed comfy shoes. Its a casual environment.
All certifications are distributed in your email (ecard) that you provide at registration.
You will receive an ecard after the successful completion of the course. Yes, we offer sameday processing. Unless otherwise mentioned, your certification is processed before you leave the classroom.
This feeling is more common than you think. If you're a pro and can do this in your sleep, props to you. If you don't feel that way, just rest assured that we will tailor the class to all skill levels, and will never make you feel unworthy of learning the material. We value you as a student and want to offer you a painless and successful class. But do know this, in order to be successful, we will cover some pharmacology, basic EKG interpretation, and BLS components and the class will be less painful if you have a BASIC understanding of the medications: Epinephrine, Adenosine, Lidocaine, Amiodarone, Aspirin, Morphine, Nitroglycerin, and general knowledge of beta blockers. For EKG heart rhythms, it will be helpful to know how to identify (in the most BASIC way): Normal sinus rhythm (NSR), ventricular fibrillation (VF), asystole, pulseless electrical activity (PEA), ST elevation (stemi), tachycardias, bradycardia, atrial flutter, heart blocks (first degree, second degree type 1 and type 2, third degree). We will be offering an optional online preparation class soon, but it will be helpful to study on your own time ahead of time for a smooth class.
