ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

The AHA's (American Heart Association) ACLS course is designed for nurses, doctors, physician assistants, paramedics, respiratory therapists and any healthcare professional who participates in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. An American Heart Association certification (ecard) will be provided by email upon successful course completion and valid for 2 years.

Class covers:

BLS (Basic life support) components & skills practice
Preventing arrest and treatment including the bradycardia and tachycardia algorithm
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions, airway management, related pharmacology, ACS and stroke.
Team dynamics
Basic knowledge of pharmacology and heart rhythm recognition required for successful course understanding

Things to know before taking the course:

Students taking the classroom/or renewal course: must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and precourse work video lessons and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking the ACLS Course. Access Here: CLICK HERE to COMPLETE PRECOURSE SELF ASSESSMENT AND PRECOURSE WORK.
Once a student has passed the Precourse Self-Assessment, they will gain access to the Precourse Work video lessons.
Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse work video lessons are approximately 2-3 hours online and can be taken at your own pace.
Students taking the skills test only/ hybrid option: Submission of a Heart code ACLS course completion certificate is required prior to taking skills test. The pre-course self assessment and pre-course work videos are included in the online portion of the course. Only submit the Heartcode ACLS course completion certificate prior to skills test.

Students must upload or email us a successful Precourse Self-Assessment score report (with a score of 70% or higher) and course completion certificate.(you will not receive an ACLS course completion card if certificate is not submitted/received)
